The Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (ZimParks), under the Ministry of Environment, Climate and Wildlife, held a strategic stakeholder meeting in Chiredzi to assess progress and strengthen the implementation of the country’s Transfrontier Conservation Areas (TFCAs).
Zimbabwe hosts six TFCAs: Chimanimani, Great Limpopo, Greater Mapungubwe, Kavango-Zambezi, Lower Zambezi–Mana Pools, and ZIMOZA. These cross-border ecological zones play a vital role in biodiversity preservation and regional cooperation.
The meeting brought together key stakeholders to review current initiatives, discuss challenges, and explore opportunities for improving the management and protection of these important ecological areas.
By focusing on effective implementation, Zimbabwe aims to enhance both biodiversity conservation and regional collaboration through its TFCAs.
